National Museum of Agriculture and Agricultural-Food Industry in Szreniawa invites you cordially for the 4th International Preservation Conference “Problems of keeping and conservation of collections in museums”.

The conference will take place on the 8th and 9th October 2010 in Szreniawa and it is organized in cooperation with Polish National ICOM Committee.
Modern forms of interactive presentations of antique objects in the idea of “living museum” generate a number of problems and preservation dilemmas. For example choosing priorities: what is more important – whether to protect original substances materials of culture goods or to restore their original technical efficiency. To answer that question, basing on theoretical deliberations and practical experience which brings in the museum practice – is the main idea of this year Conference.
Conference fees to choose:
200 PLN (50 EUR / 70 USD) – includes accommodation, full board and conference kit;
120 PLN (30 EUR / 42 USD) – full board and conference kit, without accommodation.

During the conference there will be a presentation of preservatives.
Organizers will provide for proceedings publication depending on financial possibilities.
